It’s 1997 and British superagent (and world-class playboy) Austin Powers is revived from a cryogenic chamber, having been frozen 30 years earlier. His mission is to stop supervillain Dr. Evil – who also had himself frozen back in 1967 – from continuing with his diabolical plan for world domination. But the world has changed drastically in the last 30 years, and both Austin and Evil must adapt to modern times. Luckily, Austin has the gorgeous agent Vanessa Kensington to help him adjust.

Often cited as one of the best comedies of all time, this pitch-perfect parody of James Bond and other 1960s pop culture ephemera spawned two hilarious sequels, contributed a host of catchphrases into the cultural lexicon, and inspired everyone to have absolutely smashing 60s-themed dress-up parties for years afterwards.
