Claudia Cardinale: Beyond Beauty

In collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture, Sydney, Cinecittà, Fare Cinema & Cinema Reborn, we are proud to present Claudia Cardinale: Beyond Beauty, a mini-retrospective celebrating the immense talents of the great Italian actress whose career has spanned almost 70 years and over 140 films.
Over four days, we will explore two of Cardinale’s most iconic films, Sergio Leone’s Once Upon a Time in the West and Federico Fellini’s 8½, as well as two lesser-known accomplishments, Valerio Zurlini’s rarely-screened Girl with a Suitcase and Marco Bellocchio’s Henry IV, in which she is reunited with Marcello Mastroianni.
The opening night screening of Once Upon a Time in the West includes a glass of sparkling wine on arrival and an introduction from film critic and former presenter of ABC Radio National Julie Rigg.
All films will screen in 4K digital restorations.
